Successclick.com is working hard to be ABOVE 1,000,000. I only want readers that believe nobody is anybody until they uproot GoDaddy as the #1 registrar, and that an “auction” site isn’t an auction unless you have more than one bidder, then it’s just a listing site, and the COMMISSION taken by the site should reflect that fact. More on that later.

I totaly agree with you that there are more info to consider when we are trying to determine who is the best blog in the industry…

The idea behind this post is to give only the Alexa ranking…

In the future i will do more research in the other tools out there, but it is important to understand that i didn’t try to determinate who is the best blog in the industry , i just wanted to give interesting information form Alexa.

1. I think Compete.com is more accurate that Alexa
2. Not sure, but I think Alexa is based on uniques, or “reach” as they call it. It’s important to consider more than uniques, such as visits, page views, etc. when considering the traffic of a web site.
3. Source and quality of traffic is very important, too. Technically, you can “buy” your way up a traffic list. Some of the months that I get record traffic includes a lot of digg traffic or other social traffic, which really doesn’t have much value.

Anyhow, good info but I caution against reading too much into the data.

For me Domaining.com and DNjournal.com is not a BLOG…its a WEBSITE.

Again there are a lot of websites that also not participate in my list like “Estibot.com”, he has a blog inside his site.

I put a list with what i consider a blog.

Don’t get me wrong (I LOVE DNjournal.com but i think it is more website than a blog).

Since Domaining.com is not really a blog perhaps Arbel did not include it in his research.

Did you include Domaining.com Arbel?

- about half of the list do not use “domain” in the name
- ElliotsBlog.com & ChefPatrick.com are both in the same ballpark as Domaining.com, according to Compete, and do not have “domain” in the domain name (I would have guessed that Domaining.com would be well ahead (only based on my visits, not any judgement of the content)). Maybe duplicate content is hurting SE traffic on Domaining.com?
- I am wondering about the “active” ages of the blogs
