Hmm. Is there an actual aftermarket? I would happily sell all of my accounts. I set up about 6 to experiment with promoting a few sites – tweeting genuine content, not empty marketing spam. After a week or 2, each account had a few thousand followers, but I found that the whole thing so spammy I just got sick of it and decided there were better ways to spend my time.
I haven’t read or manually sent any tweets since August, so that’s 3 month’s worth of 12,000 + 12,000 (assuming my follower to followed ratio is about 1:1) worthless connections and messages.
I have wasted some time deleting all the email notifications. Must do something about that.
I don’t “get it.”

Thinking a little more, these sites were kind of superminisites, not fully developed, so I was connecting with people (marketers) who claim to be interested in their subjects rather than the loyal followers a proper blog like your own might attract over time.
I have not tried that yet.

Twitter is a tool and therefore adds value to something else. It may be your social life or your business but by itself it’s valueless. Especially since it’s non transferable. Anything that can’t be sold has not monetary value. That being said, it always fun to look at how you rank vs others, its human nature.
